What!!!It's done!!! Time just past like running water. I couldn't believe that eLearning is over. I felt like having my friends gone from me. Well I learn heaps of things through this blog. I can learn from many things and many people. This are the list of what have I learnt through this blog:

Our action is planting trees. We went to Mt.Pancar again today(26/05/07) and we planted trees. We have already do our action and the people there is happy with it. We will also plant trees again with the prime minister of Malaysia. They are going to help them also, so we also help them. It's a very good experience.

New Performance

My group will perform a musical performance and we will play an instrument. We are playing the handbells. I think handbells is a good one because it's easy to practice and we could ask Mr. Victor's help for pratice. We will play the song "Heal the World". My group will not sing but only for the music. But we will make a slideshow presentation while our music is going on. The song Heal the World by Michael Jackson will be played by us. But we need permission from the teachers to allow us borrow one person outside of the group. They will not play much ony couple of notes.

New exhibition plan

Experiment


My group made a new experiment and it is a difference between 2 experiment. The first one shows that the trees are gone because of deforestation and the other one is land that is covered with grass and trees. Then at last we pour the water to the two experiment about 500ml and we see which of the experiment make the soil slide most. I need help on making the experiment stand diagonally.So the experiment is just on a hard cardboard then you tilt it and make it diagonal, then I need help to make the hard cardboard stand diagonally.

Gunung Pancar Snapshot

This is a snapshot of Gunung Pancar. U can see that on the right side of gunung pancar there are a lot of trees, but you could see the area in gunung pancar have a few of trees. This is what I say, trees is very important, because it's function is to tie up the soil to make it no slide, but there are no trees anymore that could tie up the ground so the landslide happens.

The Day after tomorrow

“The Day After Tomorrow” is a movie about global warming. This movie I rate “You must see” which is very good. This movie is about Global Warming, but this movie is like the end of the world, the world's tempreture becomes very cold and all of the things frozen up. The problem is I don't understand why does the climate suddenly becomes very cold and froze up the people. Global Warming is making the world becomes hot, but why does this movie shows the climate becomes very cold. Is it my mistake that it's not about global warming or what is it?

Exhibition 2007

This is my first exhibition and it's just a great start. I have advance my technological skills, writing bibliography in a proper way and other lots of new skill that I got. I am very suprise that exhibition is just like a game where it is very fun. I was thinking that exhibition is like studying everyday, finding information, read hundred of pages of books and it just horrible couple years ago, but what, what could I say it's very easy. Fun is the word I describe what is exhibition. Especially this amazing blog, some of my friends said "ITS STUPID TO HAVE BLOG" but I am against them. What is stupid about blog, the homeworks fun and I just could not believe how grade 6 teacher prepare this very hard for grade 6. I am very please that if I can have a chance to show my blog to the parents on this Friday but it doesn't mean that I have to explain about my blog. I am going well in this exhibition, I never hand in homework late, even though I had been sick for 7 days. Mrs.Jane said that "melvin your left behind, you need to catch up" and from that I always open my blog everyday and now I am like a head of some of my friends. I am very proud of myself.

Global Warming

One of the most problem that make global waming is burning forest. Million of hectares of trees are burnt each year. And it is actually more than this, the factories is also the major problem. Like I say one the other post. Every a hundred years the Earth tempretures is increasing more than 5 degress celsius. By this driught will easily happens also. Land are dried and no water. People will die because of thirst and hunger. Plants and crops will not produce rice and the supply of rice will decrease and the price of rice is going to be more expensive. More if they are living right on the equator where it is very hot and they will get the hottest tempreture on Earth. The sunshine from the sun must enter the Earth but no the ultraviolet. The ultraviolet makes the world becomes hotter and it made people got skin cancer. The ultraviolet needs to bounce back to the space because of the ozone layer, but because the ozone layer have wholes the ultraviolet rays shines to the Earth. Actually if the ozone layer covers the world 100% the ultraviolet will still come to the Earth due to the air pollution that made the ultraviolet block to bounce back to the space. The ozone layer is weak due to the pollution that is very much in the atmosphere. More than tons and tons of carbon dioxide is sent to the atmosphere. Can you imagine carbon dioxide which is a liquid can reach to tons. That's amazing, so yeah it's horrible.

The Earth is Sweaty

The people around the world have different perspective of global warming. Staurt Aberdeen in Scotland said that it's not because of the rubbish, or greenhouse gases, he believe other things about astronomy.

My Opinion is it's very funny when people have different perspective. Stuart in Scotland doesn't believe that global warming is because of the greenhouse gases or rubbish he believe that it's about something happening in space. And the thing that I hate from him is "He doesn't use Capital letter at the beginning and a full stop at the end" call Mr.Victor to teach him.

Summary of Article 2

In Bandung, flood with garbage happen. The place where garbage is put is full and the people is dissapointed with this. TPS in Setiabudi Road and Pasar Sederhana is full since two weeks ago and TPS in Pasar Sederhana have been full for one and a half months. Lis(28), the small restaurant or warung, who's restaurant is right infront of the TPS said no one want to eat in my restaurant because the TPS is very smelly and make my restaurant smelly. Another TPS in Tamansari is also full, the garbage that have been for a month is full and the garbage is still 60m cube left. All of this is because the TPS in Sarimukti, because the TPS place is broken so it needs repairment and the garbage is put to the other TPS. The Head of cleaness in Bandung said that in one day the garbage truck normally can carry upto 2500-3000 metre cube but now only 2000 metre cube. The government of west Java said that we will fix all of the TPS as son as possible and will ask the three head in the place at the TPS to still need, if not just destroy the TPS.

Teacher's Question(Answer)

Human activity change our environment in very many ways. The first one is the people that cut trees illegally They earn money but they make the environment into very bad. The destroy trees that make the carbin dioxide become worst and the oxygen that the trees is producing is fewer now. The forest in Indonesia is one of the two forest that is important in the world. The world depend on Brazil's forest and Indonesia's forest because we have a huge of forest that can reduce the carbon dioxide level. So this is one of the human's activity that make our natural environment change. The second one is the factories. The factories in the world is one of the largest thing that produce carbon dioxide. The smoke that contain alot of carbon dioxide makes the global warming becomes worst. When global warming becomes worst the Earth becomes more hot and could make drought, famine, and other dry disaster happens. The gas emission from the factory really make the global warming becomes worse. The human also breath less oxygen and they breathe carbon dioxide more. And last one is humans transportation. The gas emission from the vehicle, locomotive train, motor bikes and other transportation that produce gas emssion is also making the global warming worse. Human's can't work without transportation in the world but some people just wa'na walk to places that they can reach it without transportation. Or use monorail that is proscescing in Jakarta. I think the monorails doesn't produce gas emission too much. And there are also sprays that can harm the ozone layers. We could take responsible fo our natural environment by taking care of the ozone layer.The changing environment affect human activity because disaster happens. Like for example global warming make the world hotter, so famine and drought is easy to happen because the Earth is very hot. Other than that disaster also happens, The global warming is connected to alsmost all of the disasters. The flood, flood is because the humans cutting trees down and because the forest have change from having tree become do not have trees. When a heavyrain comes, the trees can't absorb some of the water because they are gone and so the water keeps sliding to the city and cause flood and landslide because there are no trees the rot can't tied up the soil so the soil slides and cause landslide. So the changing environment really affect human's activity. Do not use perfume or sprays that is not free from harming the ozone layer, use your transportation less and you could join and participate on the program that the government launched. For example like "Tanam Air untuk 3007" and "Tanam Seribu Pohon" we could participate on this program by just planting trees and in the next 15-20 years there will be a new tree that can make the environment clean and make the carbon dioxide less. Now the condition of the planet Earth is very critical. The world is very polluted. The air is full of carbon dioxide, the rivers are fulled with garbage and the global warming makes the Earth always in disaster. But if the orld really have a plan to make all of this things to be gone we can do it and we can use country that is technologically advanced to make a machine that could help this kind of things. Like I heard that Japan had launched a machine that can take carbon dioxide in air. So yeah the world is in danger but we can make it to be not de=angerous anymore.

Summary of Article 1

The 3M which is clean the water holder, bury not useful thing, and close water holder is going on but dengue fever still happens and many more victims is suffering dengue fever. The egg of the mosquitowill grow to the larva mosquito in two days then after 6-8 days it will grow and turn to be the Mosquito Pupa. Then 1-2 days later it will turn to the Aedes Agypty which is the dangerous mosquito that make dengue fever. The mosquito that had infected by the virus bite a healthy human and the virus spread to the human body with the mosquito's saliva. In the body the virus spread and becomes more many. The virus infected the white blood cells, then it affect the circulatory system. The trombosit of the human with decrease and on third day. On the fourth and fifth day, it's the most critical conition that can make fatal problems. The red dots will appear followed by headache, bleading and other things. If you suffer dengue fever; drink as much as possible, give fever medication, wipe your head with warm water, go to the doctor and have medical check up.


If in your communtity have dengue fever and people gets dengue fever ask the government for ahving a fogging in your neighborhood.

My Second Inquiry

My second inquiry, "The possible way to prevent landslide". The possible way to prevent landslide is make the forest in Indonesia to be fresh and have alot of trees. The people in Mount Pancar is making a stack of rocks. And the rocks are putted into the cage but that is for short term. We need to think to the future. We need to plant trees on the the land that is needing trees, like for example the event that the government make, about the Tanam Seribu Pohon and Tanam Air untuk 3007, we could make hat event to make the trees in the forest god and still fresh. The trees is important because the trees root tied up the soil to make it not slide. So the trees is not just for absorbing carbon dioxide but it is also use to tied up the ground. So we could ask the government to have that program not just once but all the time. It's good because it interact people to plant thousands of trees. And to prevent the landslide could be many more ways. Can from ourselves or one whole community. So we also have to be independent to help Indonesia out of disasters. So my best way to prevent is to plant trees and the program that the government make which Tanam Seribu Pohon.

Tanam Seribu Pohon in Bangkalan

Tanam Seribu Pohon is happening in Bangkalan. Tanam Seribu Pohon is a program from the government to make Indonesian forest become green and have trees again.So plants are planted in the forest to prevent forest that have no more trees because of humans. Thousands of plant are planted. People join to plant this plant. It's all because of some deforestation, the forest is destroyed and no longer have not enough trees. The trees are very important because they produce 02 (Oxygen) for humans to breathe. And at the same time the trees also absorb the CO2(Carbon Dioxide). In the middle of human producing too much of carbon dioxide, we need trees to make carbon dioxide less and make oxygen more. Carbon dioxide is produced very much because human's transportation, factories which is the most media that produce carbon dioxide, we need trees to support and make less of cabondixide.That's why the government make this event to make the carbon dioxide in Indonesia less. Last January in Togubang Village,Geger County,Bangkalan, Madura, East Java the governor make this event. Fuad Amin Imron, the governor plan to plant ten thousand plants and will plant on 5 hectare land. But Samsito Hadi said that he had prepare 16.500 of plants which are 13.000 of Teak Wood, 500 Sukun Tree, 1.000 Rambutan Tree, and 2.000 Durian Tree. So the plant where all planted. The plan waas only 10.000 plants but the plant was planted for about 16.000.We could contribute to this event and show that we care in many ways. One of them is to support by giving plants to the people there and they will plant them for us. Or we could contribute by helping planting those trees. By doing this we have already contributed to this event. It's very wonderful if we could help our friends there to plant this plants.We really need to support the goverment so the other government in other places will see that the people is happy if they do this kind of things. Beside doing Tanam Seribu Phon they could make other events to make the pollution less. And from my opinion all of the government needs to make this kind of event so Indonesia is clean and fresh. If our country is clean and fresh, we will be very healthy. So I support very much Tanam Seribu Pohon event even though I didn't do anything about it. I hope every governement will have the same thing in his city.

The Key Concept

My group had decide that we are going to choose 2 key concept which are causation and perspective. My purpose why I choose causation is because I want to show how big does the damage happen to the community.

The causation of this particular is landslide is tough. The people itself doesn't know what is the causation. But they told us that they think it's because of the river near the mountain. The river flows to heavy that makes a huge vibration. So the vibration shakes the soil and make the soil loose. Because of the heavyrain the river flows very heavy and because of the heavyrain, the heavyrain supports the landslide to happen. But I am not sure tha the landslide happens because the vibration of th river. So we need to check again and be a young scientist to know exactly what is the causation of the landslide in Mount Pancar.

The people in Mount Pancar thought that the landslide happens because the river flows to heavy but who knows this picture would be the reason why landslide happens.

Observation

We are asking and take notes to the people in Mount Pancar. They thought that maybe the landslide happens because of the river near the mount that flows to heavy. But maybe it could be humans fault. Because they destroy the trees.

They are preventing the landslide using a stack of rocks tat is put into a cage and ten they put into the pile to make the soil cease sliding. But this is only for a while. If another landslide happens maybe it will just be destroyed.

The Performance

My group is going to make a storyboard. This is interesting because the story is telled in a different way. First the first and last scene was performed first then the middle scene. So the audience will be confuse for a while and they will understand after the middle scene is performed. To show our inquiry we can make a display of how big does the damage happen to the houses because of the landslide and to show the other inquiry we can show them by telling a good way to prevent landslide and I know it's easy. Because my group just need to show a possible way to prevent landslide and just make a miniature damaged house. This will be great. We can show our talent by showing them a very good perfromance by performing a very good body language so the audience can understand morre from our body language than from our dialogue. My message would be clear enough because we can esily tell a very good way to prevent landslide by showing it directly to the audience. And also making a mimiature house to make them understand that the disaster happens very strong. For this performance we need the people that can make a big house and make it tilt and ask the expert to help us making the house with special effects. And we are not going to forget about thr length of our performance because it will be only consisting for 3 scene, but it will be full of information and we will ensure that the audience gets our inquiry into, purpose and others. I think this is all for now.

Our Plan to Help them

My group is planning to have another visit, because we need to help them by giving them foods, Nails and Cement. They need this things because they are going to rebuilt the house. Not making it into 100% but make it better and can be shelter for them. About 60 houses are destroyed and the governor only gave a house to stay in just for a couple months. They need cement to built there house and also nail to cnstruct their house. Our target is to give 3-4 pack of cement and maybe 2-3 kilograms of nails. But because one of our group's member's family wanted to give more because they want to help the victims. So friends if you want to help them it's a pleasure for us to help them. Because we are here sent by God to help our friends there in Mount Pancar. So yeah our group is having a plan to go to Mount Pancar again.

What a New World ?

World's technology is growing ver fast. People are now use of using machine and one of them is technology. Technology helps us very much and it's a very interesting one. Information Technology is a very unique subject which has very much information and it wil not end. Technology is something very unique because it can control anything. Satelites are controled by computer if you want to launch a rocket, you can do it automatically using computer and you can use a timer to make that rocket launch. You can make animation, presentation, communicate with people in the other side of the world in just couple minutes. Internet is a big part of technology. Internet is a wideworld that anyone can read, see watch or other things. We can chat with our friends plus seeing their face and we can know where are they, what it is like there.


Well Iam very interested with computers and my world is all digital. My world is engulfed by hadphone, computer/notebook, digital camera, television, electronic games,etc. In the world of I.T. is the world of future. In future technology will commonly used and technology is something useal later. The two asian countries which is Japan and Korea is have a huge augumentation in the technology industry. They are the king of electronics in Asia. Electronic brands are commonly from these countries. Other country import there products so the people in the other country can have machine that really help them.

Technology is just a very good thing to study and technology is very helpful for us people to work, study, do activities, communicate and other things. So technology is something I will study hard on and it's my favorite subject.

First Inquiry Into

My inquiry into's are "The cause and affect of landslide on communities" and "The possible solution to prevent landslide"

The cause and affect of landslide on communitites is a very interesting inquiry. My group is focusing on the landslide in Mount Pancar. The cause of this landslide is because the heavyrain that strikes them. But they didn't realize that this is also because of humans result. Because humans cut trees, the tree's root can't tide up the soil so the soil is very loose. Then after a heavyrain strikes the soil. The soil will easily slide down. Sometimes landslide are cause by Earthquake but the landslide happening in Mount Pancar is not because of an earthquake and it's sometimes because of humans. They just think for themselves not the other people. So now this landslide affect all of the people that live near Mount Pancar. About 60 house were destroy and other are damage. This is a very huge problem. Other than that the affect to the community make the people hard life becomes more hard. And they can't survive easily. The causation is because of humans, so we can still prevent it, it would be harder if it's a natural disaster. So the affect to the community it's very big and it made some of the villagers doesn;t work and have to have an extra work which is rebuild house.

Exhibition is as Fun as Playing Snowboard

My Exhibition

The title of our exhibition is It's our world and we are responsible for it.Our central idea is "We are responsible for determining causes of changes in our natural environment.My exhibition is about landslide and my groups name is The Marines and the members are Jessica, Angga and Ivanna. My group had went for a feildtrip to see the result of the furious landslide. We discover that there are about 60 house that are destroyed. My purpose why I choose this topic is because the place where it happen is near with the school and because I want to master other disaster areas not just Global Warming and other disasters.

My groups have two inquiry into. The first one is "The cause and affect of landslide on communities" and the second one is "The possible solution to prevent landslide".My group's slogan is "Make Friends with Nature".
